On May 31st Kovis Foundry has signed the State Support Agreement with the Minister of Economy Zdravko Počivalškek. For the project worth 24.7 million Euros “Modernization of Kovis foundry for the development of new products”, the minister has promised us two million Euros in regional aid.
The project is being implemented with the aim of expanding the production capacity. The investment covers tangible assets through an expansion of the existing hall, a new transformer station, an investment for sand preparation, an automatic molding line, a new furnace place, automation of the melting department and cleaning system as well as optimization of logistics processes within the company.
With the realization of the project, the Kovis Foundry will hire another 85 people in various areas of the company by 2020. The investment will have a very large impact on new jobs in the region, in a short time after the start of the project.
